Pages outlining the game's basic controls

The book, after a short introduction page, begins by outlining the basics of Banjo-Kazooie including a list of the main characters, the plot of the game, the basic controls and advanced moves, items and Mumbo transformations. The majority of the book covers each of the nine levels in the game (plus Spiral Mountain, Grunty's Furnace Fun and the final battle), providing detailed maps and information related to the locations of each collectible in the level, and any points of interest. These sections also provide tips and tricks for various aspects of the game, including defeating certain enemies, completing platforming challenges and more. The end of the book covers 'secret' aspects of the game such as Cheato locations, and other gameplay tips.

  • The book does not include any information regarding Bottles' Moving Picture Game, Stop-N'-Swop items or any cheat codes not given out by Cheato. This is likely because these features were meant to be secrets.
  • The book includes many original, high-quality renders of certain characters and locations provided by Rare themselves.
