A Billy Bob is a strong-armed enemy found throughout the many caverns of Glitter Gulch Mine. They resemble Grublins from Banjo-Kazooie.

These cowboy-baddies hide buried in the ground with only their hats visible and spring up with a characteristic "Yee-haw!" to attack Banjo and Kazooie. Fortunately, they are not remarkably sturdy or speedy, so they can easily be defeated or simply outrun.

If not defeated and left alone, Billy Bob's will hide back into the ground, awaiting Banjo and Kazooie to approach him again. You can also shoot eggs at their hats when their underground to kill them without getting spotted. Note: They respawn after doing this, just like every other enemy or attack.

As the level they appear in was originally intended to appear in Banjo-Kazooie, the Billy Bobs' hats were supposed to immitate Bottles' Mole Hills. This would lure Banjo and Kazooie towards them. However, Bottles was replaced with Jamjars who uses Silos, so they obviously would not fool players.

Trivia

• It is worth noting the blemishes along the Billy Bobs' body appear very similar to those of Blobbelda.
