The Blue Mystery Egg is one of six secret eggs found in Banjo-Kazooie. If you type CHEATADESERTDOOROPENSWIDEANCIENTSECRETSWAITINSIDE in the sandcastle at Treasure Trove Cove, it will open a door in Gobi's Valley that can be accessed by a magic carpet. Behind this door is the Blue Mystery Egg.
In the Xbox Live Arcade version of Banjo-Kazooie, the egg can be accessed if a Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts or a Banjo Tooie save file is detected. Collecting the egg in Banjo-Kazooie allows a crate to appear in Showdown Town, which contains the Goldfish part.
In Banjo-Tooie, the Blue Mystery Egg appears in Heggy's Egg Shed. If Kazooie hatches it, you will get the Homing Eggs cheat code.
