Jinxy is a large sphinx in Gobi's Valley with the body of a cat and the face of a bear. Since he is largely immobile, items are placed on various parts of his body, such as Wading Boots on his tail and a Flight Pad on his back. He is however capable of speaking, and complains of a stuffed nose when Banjo and Kazooie stand on one of the two cacti in front of him. The duo can remedy his ailment by eggs into his nostrils, tickling him and causing him to sneeze. As thanks, Jinxy will open the small door on his chest and allow them inside, where they can find Musical Notes, a Jinjo, a Mumbo Token, and a Jiggy, as well as an angry Slappa.
