Termite Banjo is the first transformation of Banjo-Kazooie and is found in the first world of the game, Mumbo's Mountain. It requires 5 Mumbo Tokens and can only be used in Mumbo's Mountain and the area outside of the world in Gruntilda's Lair.
Although this little termite has no attack, it can climb up the steep ledges of Ticker's Tower to reach a Jiggy that Banjo and Kazooie are unable to reach as well as the mountain in Gruntilda's Lair to reach the Witch Switch Jiggy. In addition, the insect will sink to the bottom of a body of water and does not require oxygen to breathe, allowing it to easily grab items at the bottom. It can also fall from very high places without receiving any damage.
Additionally, other Tickers will be jealous as they have an eye for his backpack and shorts. Ticker in Grunty's Lair also does this.
